The 8 dimensions we score
- Specificity — concrete nouns and details beat vague claims. "Sunday sourdough" beats "I love food".
- Vulnerability — one small thing that's a little risky to admit signals confidence, not weakness.
- Humour — one good joke or playful line. Just one. Five jokes is a comedy set, not a bio.
- Hook lines — at least one phrase that makes someone want to ask a follow-up question.
- Length — 150–300 characters tends to perform best on most apps. Very short reads as low-effort; very long reads as desperate.
- Cliché density — "love to laugh", "fluent in sarcasm", "looking for my partner in crime". Delete on sight.
- Conversation invitations — does the bio give the reader something to ask about?
- Contradictions — "I love adventure but mostly stay home". Pick one.
