This Privacy Policy describes how DateWiseAI ("we", "us") handles information when you use our website at datewiseai.ai (the "Site") and our free browser-based tools. We respect your privacy and have built our tools to collect the minimum information necessary.

1. Information we collect

Information you submit to tools

Most of our tools — the Opener Generator, Bio Optimizer, Scam Checker, Safety Checklist, Timezone Calculator, Compatibility Quiz, and Cross-Cultural Guide — run in your browser by default. The text you paste, the answers you select, and the bios you analyse are not transmitted to our servers and are not stored anywhere we can access.

AI features. Reply Studio, and the optional "Enhance with AI" button in the Opener Generator and Bio Optimizer, send the text you typed to our server once so an AI model (currently provided by OpenAI) can generate the suggestion. We do not store the content you submit for AI features, and we do not use it for advertising.

Accounts

You can optionally create an account to keep track of a Conversation Pack and access account controls. When you register we collect your email address and a securely hashed password. You can export or delete your account and its data at any time from your account page.

Contact form and newsletter

If you use the contact form we receive the name, email, topic, and message you submit, and we keep it only for as long as needed to reply. If you subscribe to any email updates, we store your email address until you unsubscribe.

Email contact

If you email us directly, we keep your message and address only for the purpose of replying, and delete threads on request.

Payments

If you buy a Conversation Pack, payment is handled by Stripe. Stripe receives your card details directly; we never see or store your full card number. We keep a record of the purchase (date, amount, and the credits it unlocks) linked to your account.

Analytics and advertising

We use Google Analytics to understand how the Site is used (pages visited, approximate location, device type) and Google AdSense to serve advertising. Some articles contain Amazon Associates affiliate links; Amazon may set its own cookies if you click them. Google may use cookies and identifiers to serve personalised or non-personalised ads based on your prior visits to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalised advertising via the Google Ads Settings page, and you can opt out of third-party vendor cookies via aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.eu (EU).

2. How we use your information

  • To operate and improve the Site and tools.
  • To respond to direct communications.
  • To serve and measure advertising via Google AdSense.
  • To detect, prevent, and address fraud or abuse of the Site.

3. Sharing your information

We do not sell personal information. We share data only with:

  • Service providers who help us operate the Site (hosting, database, email delivery, Stripe for payments, OpenAI for AI features).
  • Advertising partners (Google) who serve ads on our behalf, using cookies as described above.
  • Authorities, where legally compelled or where necessary to protect rights or safety.

4. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port the personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email privacy@datewiseai.ai.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or California, you have additional rights under the GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA respectively. We will respond to verifiable requests within the time required by applicable law.

5. Children's privacy

The Site is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

6. Data retention

Tool inputs stay in your browser and are never retained — except content you explicitly submit through "Enhance with AI", which is transmitted to generate the suggestion and is not stored afterwards. Email correspondence is kept only as long as needed to respond, and deleted on request. Server logs are retained for up to 90 days.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect information in transit (TLS) and at rest. No system is perfect, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. International transfers

Our hosting and service providers may process data outside your country. Where required, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.

9. Changes

We may update this Policy. Material changes will be highlighted on the Site for at least 30 days.
